Windows 11 22H2 22458.1000 (x64) Update September 2021

Windows 11 22H2 22458.1000 (x64) Update September 2021

Windows 11 is still in its development stages, so you will likely run into a bug here or there, missing features that haven’t fully been developed yet, and an occasional crash. This is why you want to do this on a machine that you don’t rely on. A system that can be used for beta testing this new OS environment. Windows 11 has a completely new design. Microsoft clearly needs a good reason to reverse its past claims and still ditch Windows 10 by introducing a new operating system number. And a completely new design is great for that.

The main part of this announcement is a significant user interface change. As we know, a significant portion of the UX changes will be borrowed from the Windows 10X shell, and Windows 10X is not coming to market. Right angles will disappear, they will be replaced by fillets. In truth, insiders and concept designers disagree on this point – some are confident that Microsoft will not change its traditions and will keep right angles, while others are convinced that in 2021 Microsoft will follow the fashion for fillets..

New fixes and improvements :

  • The reliability of the Start Menu has been improved.
  • Any folders with a # in their name can now be indexed.
  • The occasional crashing of the Settings app when trying to access the Display page has been addressed.
  • The correct page now opens when clicking the “More about refresh rate” on the Advanced Display Settings page.
  • Whilst the location service settings are greyed out on the Location page within the Settings app, the problem with the text not appearing stating the reason for it to be greyed out has been resolved.
  • Any changes made to preferences under Manage App Execution Alias in the Settings app are now preserved.
  • Several typos have also been fixed.
  • An issue where using the ALT + Enter shortcut keys to switch between full screen and windowed screen while gaming with Auto HDR enabled would cause the game to crash has been fixed.
  • An issue that was causing text truncation in the Encrypted File System window in some cases has been addressed.
  • The occasional reappearance of an in-box app that was deleted after a reboot has been fixed.
  • The Appx commandlets will now work with PowerShell 7.0 and above.
